New members for Welsh ExecutiveTwo new members have joined the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Welsh Executive as a result of this year's election of four executive members. The new members are Diane Heath and Colin Hugh Thomas. Robert Gartside and Peter Jones, retiring members who were seeking re-election, were both returned to the executive. Mrs Heath, who registered as a pharmacist in 1977, works from Cardiff as all Wales specialist principal pharmacist for community services. She is a member of the Welsh Pharmaceutical Committee. Mr Thomas, who registered in 1966, is an independent locum pharmacist in Bridgend. He is acting secretary to the South East Wales region of Community Pharmacy Wales and a pharmacist board member of Bridgend Local Health Board. Mrs Heath and Mr Thomas succeed Andrew Hales and Karen Worrall, both of whom chose not to seek re-election after serving one three-year term on the executive. The number of voting papers issued was 2,239 of which 601 (26.8 per cent) were returned. Official Notice, p845 |
