Pharmacist awarded MBE in birthday list

David Bolton, FRPharmS, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours. Mr Bolton has been director of primary care development at Lothian Primary Care NHS Trust since it came into being four years ago. He was previously general manager, primary care services for Lothian Health Board. He is a former member (1986–89 and 1990–96) and past chairman (1994–96) of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Scottish Executive.

Yve Buckland, chief executive of the Health Development Agency and chairwoman of PharmacyHealthLink (formerly the Pharmacy Healthcare Scheme) has been made DBE.
