England pharmacy minister confirmed

Rosie Winterton has been confirmed as the minister responsible for pharmacy services at the Department of Health.

Her other responsibilities include emergency care, including A&E and ambulance services, NHS Direct, adult mental health services, clinical negligence, patient and public involvement, diabetes services, transplants and organ donation, and dentistry.

Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central since May 1997, was Parliamentary Secretary at the Lord Chancellor's Department from 2001 until her appointment as Minister of State for Health.

Lord Warner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health in the House of Lords will be responsible for pharmaceutical industry issues.
