TributeBussell In a tribute to the late Louise Ross Bussell (PJ, 5 July, p32), MARGARET MARTIN writes: I was sad to hear about the death of Louise Bussell. I knew her in the 1950s when we both worked at Boots. She was a nice person to work with and had a good Welsh sense of humour she was a lovely lady. I hope she will now be reunited with her fiancé, who died so many years ago. Young In a tribute to the late Graham Young, TIM COAKER, chairman of Cambridgeshire Local Pharmaceutical Committee, writes: We were all saddened to hear of the death of Graham, who had been such a significant part of Peterborough health care for 30 years. Graham was able to demonstrate his complete commitment to the local population by being available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I visited him three weeks before he died and although he was very ill he was still concerned about his customers and how he could be involved in any local pharmacy activities. Graham was a modest man who was ready to put himself out for fellow pharmacists, general practitioners and anybody who needed his help and support. He was rarely away from his pharmacy or flat above the premises and to him, a break was to sit on the wall outside chatting to passers-by. Graham had a great love for early 1960s music, which I am sure was a way for him to escape when he had an opportunity. Graham will be sadly missed by all who were involved with him in Peterborough. Our thoughts go out to his "family" who were the people who had worked for him over the years. |
