PSNC makes awards

Four awards of £2,500 each have been made by the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee under its community pharmacy development scheme to local pharmaceutical committees to promote new services or developments of existing services. The 2003 awards go to:

• Bury and Rochdale LPC To use pharmacy based medication reviews to reduce the risk of falls in older people
• Middlesex LPCs To train pharmacists to train carers in medicines management
• Lincolnshire LPC To support pharmacists making dispensing interventions
• Bolton LPC To educate children with asthma in order to reduce hospital admissions for acute severe asthma.
