Scottish Executive: Flu and Pneumococcal Immunisation for over 65s (more)

Scottish 'flu campaign leaflet reissued

The Scottish Executive launched this year's influenza vaccination campaign in Scotland last week. People aged over 65 years will additionally be offered a pneumococcal vaccination.

Pharmacists should be receiving new campaign leaflets by the end of next week. A supply of leaflets sent to pharmacists in preparation for the launch of the ’flu campaign has been recalled by the Scottish Executive. This is because the leaflet did not contain the updated warning that aspirin should not be given to children under the age of 16 years, instead stating the previous age limit of 12 years.
