New primary care funding

Additional funding for primary care services in Scotland was announced last week.

A sum of £3m has been granted for this year and £7.5m for next year will be spent in agreement with local health care co-operatives and will be a boost to the development of community health partnerships. The funding will be aimed at improving services and access to health, in particular for the management of chronic diseases and promoting mental health and wellbeing.
