Welsh deputy chief pharmacist dies

Dr Fran Collins, deputy chief pharmaceutical adviser to the National Assembly for Wales, has died of cancer at the age of 47.

A former community pharmacist and teacher-practitioner at the Welsh school of pharmacy, Dr Collins was awarded a PhD in 1995 for research on diabetes and blood glucose testing.
