Stephenson £5 note
The Bank of England is reminding retailers that £5 notes featuring a portrait of George Stephenson are being withdrawn from 21 November and will no longer be legal tender after that date. Newer notes, with a portrait of Elizabeth Fry, will remain in circulation.
