Refit boosts business for UniChem award winner

A total refit of Medicine Box Chemist, Leicester, and the provision of an extended range of services has led to Unnat Patel being named overall winner of the UniChem Great Business awards for 2003.
Mr Patel promoted his new-look pharmacy and its services with local television,
radio and press advertising. He also has a branded Volkswagen Beetle
car used for collection and delivery of repeat prescriptions.
Other winners were Glen Thompson of Rossett Pharmacy, north Wales, in
promoting the business category; Andrew Norman of Bruton Pharmacy, Somerset,
for business development (which also involved a pharmacy refit); Paul
Benson of Manchester, for professional development; Jeetender Singh Sahota
of Rajja Chemists, Birmingham, as young pharmacist of the year; and Nichola
Folan, also of Rossett Pharmacy, north Wales, as pharmacy assistant of
the year.
Graham Phillips, of St Albans, was given a special award for his efforts
to combat the challenges posed by the Office of Fair Trading report on
the control of entry regulations. |
