President's message

Laudable altruism

From Mr M. J. Lee, MRPharmS

Gill Hawksworth’s message (PJ, 20/27 December 2003, p849) indicates a laudable altriusm but I think that it would be wrong to suggest that others, rather lacking in this quality, could not, or should not, do the job of being a pharmacist. For my own case, I get few complaints from customers to whom I believe I offer a proficient service, carried out in the manner befitting of an English gentleman, which means I will only do it for money.

Michael Lee
Birmingham
