NHS branding

A question of intellectual property

From Mr S. M. Hayes, MRPharmS

Your leading article entitled “To be or not to be part of the NHS?” (PJ, 17 January, p42) demonstrates an ignorance of the basic principles of the law on intellectual property. The NHS logo is a registered trade mark.

Since when has it been editorial policy to encourage pharmacists to pre-empt the publication of guidelines?

Stephen Hayes
