Local secretaries invited to learn more about Society's directorates
The secretaries of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's branches and regions have been invited its to a special meeting to learn more about the organisation's new staff structure.
To be held on Wednesday 10 March in London, the meeting will include
short talks from each of the Society’s directors as well as presentations
from the Secretary and Registrar, Ann Lewis, and the President, Dr Gill
Hawksworth.
Miss Lewis said: “This meeting will give branch and regional secretaries
the opportunity to learn first hand about the Society’s new staff
structure designed to take us forward as a modern regulator and professional
organisation for pharmacy.”
As announced at the start of the year (PJ, 3/10 January, p36), the main
reorganisation has taken place in the Education and Registration Directorate,
the Fitness to Practise and Legal Affairs Directorate, the Practice and
Quality Improvement Directorate and Corporate and Strategic Development
Directorate. The Finance and Resources Directorate and the Public Affairs
and Communications Directorate remain unchanged, while the future of
the Publications Directorate is to be considered separately by Council.
The Society says that recommendations for the staff structure of the
Scottish Department and Welsh Executive are to be reviewed in light of
developing devolution.
