Pharmacists can be confident about the future

Gill Hawksworth, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's President, told pharmacists and pharmacy students why they can be confident about the future at a joint meeting of the Bradford school of pharmacy and the Bradford branch, which was attended by almost 200 people.

Dr Hawksworth talked about developments for the profession arising from the current policy agenda and the exciting opportunities available for pharmacists in medicines management and prescribing.

On behalf of the Bradford branch, the President then presented Rehan Akhtar, now a second-year pharmacy student, with the branch’s annual prize for the best student in the first year professional practice module.
