International analysis conference a success

A two-day international conference “Bioval 2004 — regulatory guidance for validation of bioanalytical procedures for large molecules” was hosted by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society hosted at its London headquarters on 12 and 13 February.

Howard Hill, conference chairman, said: “The conference, based on the validation of ligand binding assays and biomarkers, brought together many of the opinion makers from both the US and Europe. The objective of the meeting was to synthesise a consensus on this topic, which will hopefully result in a white paper consensus document being produced under the aegis of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.”
