Local representatives given chance to learn more about Society’s new directorates
Nearly 60 representatives of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s local branches and regions are to attend a meeting to learn more about the Society’s new directorate structure.
The meeting, to be held on Wednesday 10 March at the Society’s
London headquarters, will include presentations from the Secretary and
Registrar (Ann Lewis) and the President (Gill Hawksworth), as well as
from the Society’s directors and the editor of The Pharmaceutical
Journal (Olivia Timbs).
Miss Lewis said: “We are pleased that so many branches are sending
representatives. The day will give branch and regional
representatives the opportunity to learn first hand about the Society’s
work across all the directorates.”
Representatives will attend from nine of the Society’s English
regions, 38 English branches, four Welsh branches, four Scottish branches
and the Isle of Man branch. Branches and regions that have not yet responded
but would like their secretary or a nominated deputy to attend the meeting
should contact the membership unit (tel 020 7572 2331;
e-mail b&ra@rpsgb.org) as soon as possible.
