Media campaign will highlight pharmacists’ role in helping smokers who want to quit

The support that pharmacists can offer to smokers on National No Smoking Day (10 March) is being promoted through a news release sent to local and regional media by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Entitled “Pharmacists can help smokers who want out”, the news release highlights the theme of this year’s No Smoking Day campaign and includes a quote attributed to a local branch public relations officer (BPRO).

Jean-Pierre Moser, the Society’s head of public relations, said: “The Society is pleased to support No Smoking Day and to help get the key messages across to the general public. The campaign also offers our BPROs an ideal opportunity to promote the important role that pharmacists play in supporting those people who want to stop smoking.”
