Zoladex SafeSystem
Zoladex (goserelin) 3.6mg and Zoladex LA 10.8mg are now available as
SafeSystem syringes, which feature an external needle shield which automatically
activates on depressing the plunger (AstraZeneca). The price of the product
is not affected by this change.
Novartis medical information
Novartis has issued a reminder that all medical information enquiries
for Tegretol (carbamazepine), Ritalin (methylphenidate), Anafranil (clomipramine)
and Lioresal (baclofen) oral formulations should be directed to Cephalon
UK on 0800 783 4869. Medical enquiries concerning the intrathecal formulation
of Lioresal continue to be handled by Novartis.
Masters in public health
Glasgow Caledonian University and Queen Margaret University College have
been awarded funds by NHS Education for Scotland to support a new inter-professional
master’s course in public health practice. The course, available
from September, will offer online learning and weekend and summer school.
