Dual language prescription forms introduced in Wales

National Health Service prescription forms printed in both English and Welsh have been introduced in Wales.

The new forms, which are denoted WP10 and are valid for dispensing throughout the NHS, incorporate the Welsh Assembly Government’s dragon logo in the bottom left corner and the NHS Wales logo in the bottom right.

The Department of Health says that community pharmacies in England should dispense prescriptions written on these forms in the same way as English FP10s. It has reminded them that patients are subject to the prescription charge regimen applicable to the pharmacy at which dispensing takes place and not to the patient’s place of residence or the origin of the form.
