Pharmacists unhappy at work

Pharmacists are among the least happy workers in Britain, along with accountants, estate agents and media workers.

A survey by the City and Guilds of London Institute during February found that only 4 per cent of pharmacists say they are very happy in their work, while 6 per cent say they are very unhappy. Despite this, 70 per cent find their work rewarding, 76 per cent feel appreciated for what they do and 60 per cent say that they are fulfilling an ambition.

The happiest workers found by the survey are care workers, with 40 per cent saying that they are very happy at work. Next happiest are hairdressers, plumbers, chefs and florists.
