Supplementary prescribing at Keele
The department of medicines management at Keele University has announced that 17 pharmacists have been awarded the practice certificate in supplementary prescribing. Certificates will be formally presented by Gul Root, principal pharmaceutical officer at the Department of Health, at an awards ceremony at the University in May. Men and pharmacy
Developing Patient Partnerships and Consumer Health Information Centre are seeking photographs of window displays used to encourage men to come into the pharmacy for health advice and treatments, as part of their “pop down your local” campaign to be launched on 29 April. The winner will receive £500, and two runners up will receive £250. Photographs should be sent to Marianne McGlynn at Developing Patient Partnerships, Tavistock House, Tavistock Square, London WC1V 9JP, or e-mailed to mmcglynn@dpp.org.uk. Closing date 21 May.
