Self nomination for fellowship

The Society's Council, at the April Council meeting, approved the final wording of a proposed amendment to the Society’s Byelaws to allow more members of the Society to nominate themselves for fellowship (PJ, 14 February, p197). Nominations by the panel of fellows would continue, but members would also have the option to apply to fellowship subject to the payment of a fee to cover the cost of an independent assessment (Official Notice, p460) .
