New management structure at the MHRA

A new management structure has been introduced at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency one year after the MHRA was formed by merging the Medicines Control Agency and the Medical Devices Agency.

A new executive board includes pharmacists Gordon Munro, responsible for inspection and enforcement, and Clive Bray, responsible for device technology evaluation and safety. The executive board take strategic direction from an Agency Board, which includes the MHRA executive chairman Alastair Breckenridge, chief executive Kent Woods and six non-executive directors drawn from the public and private sectors.
