Society’s “Annual Review 2003” looks back on a year of change
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s “Annual Review 2003”, distributed to all members with The
Pharmaceutical Journal this week, highlights the broad range of work undertaken by the Society during a year of change.
The review includes introductions by both the President, Gill Hawksworth,
and the Secretary and Registrar, Ann Lewis. The President said: “2003
will be remembered as a year of change — one that brought about
new opportunities for pharmacy. This review shows how the Society has
been working at the forefront of policy and practice development to ensure
that pharmacy has a future that meets both the aspirations of the profession
and the needs of patients.”
The review also contains a summary financial report. The full financial
statements for 2003 are available on the Society’s website (www.rpsgb.org)
while hard copies can be obtained from the Society’s finance administrator
by calling 020 7572 2245.
The annual review and the financial statements will be presented to the
Society’s annual general meeting on 12 May. Members with question
on these documents are asked to make them known before the AGM so that
answers can be prepared for presentation to the meeting.
Questions on the financial statements should be submitted in writing
to Graham Duncan, Financial Controller (e-mail accounts2003@rpsgb.org)
by 5 May.
