African pharmaceutical forum

An African pharmaceutical forum has been launched with support from the International Pharmaceutical Federation and the World Health Organization. A statement issued by FIP says the forum will focus on projects to develop the role of pharmacists in providing advice and information, encouraging safe drug use, promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting disease management through pharmacy-based patient-oriented services. Topics will include HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
