DoH: Electronic transmission of prescriptions (more)

ETP still on target for 2007

Electronic prescription transfer will be fully implemented in England by the end of 2007. This is despite a suggestion at a recent computing conference by Gordon Hextall, chief operating officer of the Department of Health's national programme for IT (NPfIT), that only some progress would be made by 2007.

A later statement from NPfIT said: “The national programme for IT is planning for 100 per cent implementation by the end of 2007.”
