“Innovation in community pharmacy” paper

The Pharmacy Practice Research Trust launched a paper this week designed to help policy makers implement change in community pharmacy services.

“Innovation in community pharmacy: accelerating the spread of change” sets out the current structure and organisation of community pharmacy, key policies that are leading to change and how best to learn from research. Actions that primary care trusts can take to increase the chances of success in implementing change are suggested. The research was funded by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society as part of the workforce research programme, and the paper is in the process of being adapted for Scotland and Wales. Copies of the paper can be obtained from the Society’s research and development division on 020 7572 2276.
