Nottingham based company wins US technology award

Pharmaceutical Profiles, a spin-off company from Nottingham University's school of pharmacy, has been awarded the 2004 Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Technology Award in the field of drug discovery and development. The company won the American award for its work on new technologies in early phase drug development.

The technology award (PDF 35K) is given to a company for a technological development with the potential to have a positive impact on the industry, and for overall commitment to advances in technology. Pharmaceutical Profiles has a major interest in human drug absorption studies and has undertaken more than 150 clinical studies for pharmaceutical companies, drug delivery companies and biotechnology companies in North America, Europe and Japan since 2002.
