Herbal interaction with warfarin

A survey of 1,360 patients treated with warfarin has revealed that 8.8 per cent were taking one or more herbal remedy thought to interact with the anticoagulant. The use of herbal medicines had not been discussed with a health care professional by 92.2 per cent of patients (British Journal of General Practice 2004;54:439).
