Leaflet for new members
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has produced a leaflet for its new members entitled “Helping pharmacists achieve excellence”.
The leaflet was distributed this week in the registration packs sent
to the 1,367 UK and overseas pharmacy graduates who passed the Society’s
summer 2004 registration examination. It summarises the role of the Society,
including its work across England, Scotland and Wales, support for professional
practice and development, standards and audit and also gives details
of how members can obtain help in times of need.
The Society’s President, Nicholas Wood, said: “The Society
has a unique role covering professional leadership, development and regulation.
This new leaflet will help to explain the work of the Society to new
members, who I am sure will find it a valuable resource. I would strongly
encourage new members to play a part in the work of the Society’s
branches and special interest groups, and to become involved in other
activities.”
The leaflet can be downloaded from the “About the Society” section of on the Society’s website (www.rpsgb.org/Society). Hard copies
can be ordered by contacting the registration department (tel 020 7572
2322).
