New NHS walk-in centres

At least one of 17 new NHS walk-in centres announced last week will have an on-site pharmacy. The new centres, costing £12m, will be in Birmingham, Oldham, Derby, Leeds, Manchester, Folkestone, North Kirklees, Rugby, Milton Keynes, Weston-super-Mare, Southport, Halton, and at Newham, Ilford, Barking, Romford and Harold Wood in London. The Birmingham centre is intended to be fully integrated with other local health services, including out-of-hours services, and will have a pharmacy.
