Lloyds diabetes screening

Half a million Lloydspharmacy customers have been screened for type 2 diabetes since the launch of the company’s free blood glucose testing service in June 2003. Of the customers tested in the past year, over 25,000 have been referred to their GP. Lloyds estimates that around 72 per cent of referred customers are either diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes or are being monitored by their GP.
