Society’s devolution review group holds its first meeting

The first meeting of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Devolution Review Group took place on 6 August at the Society’s
Scottish Department in Edinburgh.
The review group, chaired by Lord Fraser of Carmyllie, will evaluate
the Society’s function, structure and ways of working to ensure
that it can fully meet the challenges and opportunities presented by
devolution.
Those present included Scottish Executive members Angela Timoney (chairman)
and David Thomson (immediate past chairman), Welsh Executive members
Mair Davies (chairman), Andrea Robinson (immediate past chairman) and
Colin Ranshaw and Council members Gill Hawksworth (Immediate Past President),
Digby Emson, Alison Ewing and Maurice Hickey, plus Ann Lewis, the Society’s
Secretary and Registrar, and Paul Jervis, honorary senior research fellow,
constitution unit, University College London, and visiting professor
in organisation development, Middlesex University.
