Society summary

Access to medical libraries

The Society is to investigate developing a case for pharmacists to have access to information from medical libraries. Raising the matter at the August Council meeting, Sultan Dajani said that he and Nicola Gray had first flagged up the issue two years ago because there were problems, certainly locally. But it was becoming more important with the development of supplementary prescribing. Access might not be a problem for hospital pharmacists but it was for community pharmacists. The President asked Mr Dajani to provide detailed information to help the Society look into the matter.
