Hepatitis B vaccine linked to MS

Hepatitis B vaccination has been linked with a threefold increase in the risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS). Of 163 patients with MS researchers identified 11 people who developed their first symptoms within three years of receiving the vaccine, with an odds ratio of 3.1 compared with controls (Neurology 2004;63:838-42).
