BPC to have “strong” social programme
Delegates attending the 2004 British
Pharmaceutical Conference can look forward to a strong social programme throughout the event, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society says.
The conference takes place at the Manchester International Convention
Centre from Monday 27 to Wednesday 29 September. The social programme
includes a welcome reception on the Sunday, the Conference dinner on
the Monday and a dance evening with a live band on the Tuesday. In addition,
on the Monday and Tuesday evenings a conference club with a late bar
will be held at the Midland Hotel (formerly the Crowne Plaza).
Gill Hawksworth, chairman of the Society’s Conference Committee,
said: “These events are an important part of the BPC, allowing
delegates to mix socially with old friends and also to make new ones.
In recent years we have listened carefully to delegates’ feedback
and looked to provide entertainment with a wide appeal. Last year the
social events were some of the best attended ever and we hope to build
on this in Manchester in 2004.”
Further information about the conference BPC 2004 is available from its
website (www.bpc2004.org) or from the conference organisers (tel 0121
248 3399). By 13 September more than 800 people had booked for the conference.
