2003 Schering award presented

Development of an online medicines information service has led to an award for David Erskine, acting director of South Thames Regional Medicines Information Centre.

Mr Erskine was presented with the 2003 College of Pharmacy Practice Schering Award by Paul Woodward, chief executive, Schering Health Care, at a ceremony in London on 16 September.

The award, which is made in recognition of an outstanding contribution to pharmacy practice, was given to Mr Erskine for his work on the development and management of DrugInfoZone.

DrugInfoZone is a free IT service available to health care professionals to provide independent, unbiased and evidence-based medicines information.
