Regulation of dispensing/ pharmacy assistants: declarations of competence under grandparent clause arrangements

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society will not be issuing receipts for completed “declaration of competence forms” under the grandparent clause arrangements for the regulation of dispensing/ pharmacy assistants. Pharmacists who require an acknowledgement should enclose a stamped addressed envelope or postcard when submitting declaration forms.

Pharmacists are reminded that the cut-off date for the submission of declaration forms is 31 December. A completed form should be submitted for each member of staff in current employment who falls within the minimum competence requirement grandparent clause. The forms should be addressed to the Registration Section (Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN.
