Vitamin analogue fights cancer

A compound derived from vitamin E reduces the size of tumours in mice, say researchers. They treated mice with a novel non-hydrolysable ether derivative of RRR-a-tocopherol and found that the compound was capable of reducing the primary tumour mass by greater than a half (Experimental Biology and Medicine 2004;229:954).
