Insult?

From Mr B. E. Jones, FRPharmS

What an insult to the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand (front cover, PJ, 16 October). What was this photograph trying to imply? Who authorised such a cover? I was ashamed to be a pharmacist when I saw the banner headline and the photograph. I know that The Pharmaceutical Journal no longer has the same editorial standards that it had in the past, as this cover clearly demonstrates. The adjective that comes to mind to describe it is “tabloid”, in its derogatory sense. I hope that a full apology will be sent to the New Zealand society.

Brian E. Jones
