Pharmacist wins “Leaders for change” award

Faranak Ansari, pharmacist and quality improvement co-ordinator at Dundee University faculty of medicine, dentistry and nursing, has received a “Leaders for change” award from the charity The Health Foundation. The award — a £3,000 personal training allowance — is intended to help health care professionals develop the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve change and lasting improvements in patient care. Dr Ansari plans to use the award to improve the use of antibiotics in Scottish hospitals.
