Agenda for change

Agenda for change

Pharmacists will work 37.5 hours a week

From Ms A. Hall

The Broad spectrum article “Pharmacy hours of service provision may have unintended consequences” (PJ, 20 November, p742) quoted some incorrect information regarding hospital pharmacists. It stated: “Agenda for Change lays down a 35-hour week for hospital pharmacists”. Hospital pharmacists currently work 39 hours per week. With effect from 1 December 2004 hospital pharmacists will be working 37.5 hours per week; this is the standard whole time number of hours for all staff under Agenda for Change.
