EMEA looks at Crestor dose

The European Medicines Evaluation Agency is investigating whether the recommended starting dose of rosuvastatin (Crestor) should be 5mg for all patients or for those patients with predisposing factors to myopathy, following a referral from the UK. There is currently no 5mg formulation of rosuvastatin marketed in the UK, although this dose is licensed elsewhere.
