Oxygen

Hope a national settlement is agreed

From Mr M. Bennett, FRPharmS

Chris McKendrick asks “What about oxygen contractors?” (PJ, 20 November, p745). I can sympathise with his position since my company is in a similar predicament.

Last month I received a letter from BOC requiring an audit of all cylinders and agreement to pay for “lost” cylinders. This is a matter that should be resolved by the Department of Health nationally.

I hope other contractors are not intimidated by this letter and that the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee insist on a national settlement.

Martin Bennett
Sheffield
