Part-time pharmacists may leave professionApproximately one-fifth of part-time pharmacists are considering not renewing their membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society next year, according to a survey carried out by the Pharmacists’ Defence Association. The telephone survey involved 636 part-time pharmacists who are PDA members. Altogether, 22 per cent suggested that they would not be renewing their membership of the Society in 2005. Both the increase in retention fees and the introduction of mandatory continuing professional development were given as reasons. |
