Covonia theft
A shipment of Covonia Throat Spray, batch code 07J04, expiry date 10/2009,
has been stolen in transit and there is concern that this batch might
be sold into outlets other than pharmacies. Thornton and Ross is asking
pharmacists, retailers and wholesalers to alert the company immediately
on 01484 842217 if they are offered a product from this batch, receive
it in a delivery or see it in any other outlet.
Technician of the year
Natalie Pettitt, a pharmacy technician from M.W. Phillips Chemist, Birmingham
was the winner of the Pharmacy Alliance community pharmacy technician
of the year award. Ms Pettitt received the award for her project on
prescription intervention to address medication queries and wastage, “A
helping hand from the chemist”.
