Society summary

Only two weeks to pay retention fee

Pharmacists have only two weeks in which to renew their registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society if they are to avoid the risk of erasure from the register.

Retention fees are due on 1 January each year. In the past the Society has been generous in accepting late payment but this year the deadline for receipt of the fee has been brought forward to 31 January. Any member who has not paid their fee by that date will be issued with a statutory demand.

Members erased from the register because they fail to pay their fees on time will be unable to practise as pharmacists. Similarly, premises owners who fail to pay on time risk their premises being removed from the register and therefore having to be closed to the public.

Payment can be made online using major credit and debit cards. Members need their retention fee form in front of them when they pay.

Payment can also be made by cheque (sterling cheques drawn on a sterling account) using the retention fee form and the pre-paid envelope previously provided.

Members will be sent a receipt within 28 days of making payment. For further information please contact 020 7572 2322 or e-mail registration@rpsgb.org
