Students can go to BPC for only £5

A special day rate of £5 plus VAT is available for MPharm final-year students and preregistration trainees attending the third day of this year’s British Pharmaceutical Conference, Wednesday 28 September.

During the morning the students and trainees will be able to attend conference scientific and practice sessions. In the afternoon there will be a special session featuring key speakers from different fields of pharmacy.

Gill Hawskworth, chairman of the Conference Committee, said: “Following the success of the student day at BPC 2004 I am delighted that we are once again able to make this special offer. The day gives students a flavour of BPC and a chance to find out about the opportunities available to them in pharmacy.”

James Wood, president of the British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (BPSA), said: “The BPSA is pleased to give its backing to this initiative and we are working closely with the conference organisers to establish a programme suitable for students and preregistration trainees.”

Flyers and booking forms are to be distributed through schools of pharmacy and will also be available via the BPSA website at www.bpsa.com. Students can make online bookings at the BPC2005 website (www.bpc2005.org).

The number of student places is limited and will be allocated strictly on a first come, first served basis so early booking will be essential.

Further information is available at the BPC website or from Angela Lyons (tel 0121 248 3389).

BPC 2005 is being held at Manchester International Convention Centre, from Monday September 26 to Wednesday September 28, 2005.

The conference theme is “A common vision for health: linking science with practice”.
