How well did we do, MHRA asks health professionals

Views are being sought by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on how well information on bringing British Approved Names for drugs (BANs) in line with recommended International Non-proprietary names (rINNs) was disseminated.

In a letter to health professionals and others affected by the changeover, Caroline Brennan of the MHRA executive support division, asks whether the message was communicated clearly to the right target audience. She also asks whether letters to health professionals from the chief medical, nursing and pharmaceutical officers for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland were adequate for the purpose.

Caroline Brennan can be contacted at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, Market Towers, 1 Nine Elms Lane, London SW8 5NQ.
