Staff rises in NHS Scotland

Figures released earlier this month show that the number of staff working in NHS Scotland has increased over the past year. The total number of staff was up 1.6 per cent in September 2004, compared with the number in September 2003. The figures for pharmacists show that the number employed by NHS Scotland increased by 4.7 per cent during this period.
